About Us

The University of Guelph Intercollegiate Dressage Association Equestrian Team is a student run, self-funded team of dressage enthusiasts. The team is made up of undergraduate students from many different equestrian backgrounds. Riders are required to take weekly lessons as well as participate in other training events, and for those interested, participate in competitions.
The IDA has been a great opportunity for riders at Guelph with an interest in dressage to learn more about the sport through educational opportunities and competition.  Riders that participate in this organization range in experience from walk trot and never having competed before to beyond First Level with extensive riding, training and competition experience.  The organization allows riders the opportunity to progress up the levels through their time away at school, meet new people from many other schools, and participate in team events.

There are many positions with in the team to get involved for those who have a passion in dressage but may not want to ride or compete including positions like fund raising coordinator, or secretary. Undergraduate students with all levels of riding experience and backgrounds are encouraged to try out for the team!
